The big 4+1!!

Nathan had to have lots of dental work yesterday and was 'put-under'. What a trooper! He didn't want to awaken from the anesthesia and when he did, he just popped open his eyes and within two hours was his normal self. What a kid! Not a tear or a groan.

Next morning...

Nathan appears in our bed at 6:30.

Mommy ignores him...knowing exactly why he's up so early!

Nathan starts tapping mommy..."Can I get Logan up?"

"No, it's too early!" says mom.

Thus begins the day when Nathan turns 5!

Daddy took the day off and we opened presents, had coffee with T&E from Michigan, decorated a cake, played outside, had friends over, split a pinata, ate LOTS of candy, enjoyed a baked potato bar, ate cake & ice cream and played lots & lots with our friends. Here's proof!

It was a good day!!

And last but not least...

Sincerely, Nathan.

Four going on five...

Nathan is having lots of fun learning to read and is catching on quickly!

"You Are My Sunshine"

The kids sang this song to Vern & Rhoda Clark at their reception. Molly has been singing it around the house ever since. I think she blended all three verses into one. But what she lacks in accuracy she makes up for in gusto! :)

What it was supposed to say:

You've been a sunshine, a special sunshine,
You've made us happy in many ways;
You'll never know, dear, how much we love you.
Please just pray for us every day.

She's been a sunshine, a special sunshine,
She's made us happy in many ways;
You'll never know, sir, how much we'll miss her.
Please just tell her you love her each day.

Live in the sunshine, the heavenly sunshine,
You can be happy when skies are grey;
Jesus will show you how much He loves you
If you live in His sunshine each day.
